We are Polish photographers and wildlife biologists. Our main subjects of interest in photography and biology are the mountains. Since 1996 we have traveled throughout the wild regions of Russia, Ukraine, Canada and the USA, taking pictures and studying alpine mammals. In our photographs we try to catch the unforgettable beauty of pristine landscapes and show the difficulties of people struggling with the harsh mountain environment. We are coauthors of a photo album and two guidebooks about the Baikal region in Siberia, Russia, where we spent almost one year studying pikas. From 2003 to 2007 we worked on an Olympic marmot research project for the University of Montana, USA. Currently we live in Poland and work at Carpathian Wildlife Research Station, Polish Academy of Sciences.
